Aamir Khan will begin the remake of the Tamil film Vikram Vedha after completing Laal Singh Chaddha. According to some sources, Aamir will be playing the role of a dreaded gangster.
Aamir Khan, who was last seen in Thugs Of Hindostan with Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Katrina Kaif is excited for his next Laal Singh Chaddha which is the remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forest Gump. The Hindi version is directed by Secret Superstar director Advait Chandan which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan. Last year, before the release of Thugs Of Hindostan, T-Series head Bhushan Kumar had announced that Aamir will be co-producing the film Mogul with him which is a biopic of Gulshan Kumar.
A few weeks ago, the actor announced he would be acting in the film too. And now according to some reports by PeepingMoon, the actor will begin the remake of the Tamil film Vikram Vedha after completing Laal Singh Chaddha. According to some sources, Aamir will be playing the role of a dreaded gangster that Vijay Sethupathi played in the original, whereas Saif Ali Khan will essay the role of a cop, which was played by R. Madhavan in the original.
The remake will be helmed by the original directors, Pushkar and Gayatri and Neeraj Pandey will write the screenplay. A source said, “The film has been scheduled to go on the floors in April next year. Both Aamir, who kicks off Laal Singh Chaddha on November 1, and Saif, who’s Jawaani Jaaneman and Tandav are in the pipeline, are expected to finish their respective commitments by then. Considering the film doesn’t require any specific preparation, the makers are planning to complete the shooting in two-three months. The recce for the film is likely to begin in January in Lucknow and Hyderabad.”
