Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey was earlier scheduled to hit screens on Christmas this year. The makers have changed its release date to avoid clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.
Aamir Khan on Monday took to social media to thank Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala for moving the release date of Bachchan Pandey to avoid clash with Laal Singh Chaddha. The Akshay Kumar-starrer was earlier announced to hit screens on Christmas this year. Laal Singh Chaddha is releasing on December 25.
Aamir Khan wrote, “Sometimes all it takes is one conversation. Thank you to my friends @akshaykumar & Sajid Nadiadwala for their warm gesture of moving the release date of their film Bachchan Pandey at my request. I wish them the very best for their film. Looking forward to it. Love. a (sic).”
It was in July this year when Akshay Kumar revealed the first look of his upcoming film Bachchan Pandey and announced that it will be releasing on Christmas. He wrote, “Coming on Christmas 2020! In & As #BachchanPandey in #SajidNadiadwala’s Next, directed by @farhad_samji (sic).
Akshay will be seen romancing Kriti Sanon in Bachchan Pandey.
Coming back to Laal Singh Chaddha, the film stars Aamir Khan in the titular role along with Kareena Khapoor. The film is the official Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump.
In Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamit Khan will be seen in the role of a Sikh. The look of the actor was earlier leaked online, and later the makers released his look.
The film has been shot in Chandigarh, Kolkata and Himachal Pradesh. Pictures of the actor from different shoot locations made their way to the internet.
