Kareena Kapoor Khan is a trendsetter when it comes to movies and the box office. The actress has been in the industry for many years and we all have fond memories of her in a variety of roles. Although she’s literally been on the top for like the longest time, some of her critical and box office hits include the likes of ‘Heroine’, ‘Chameli’, ‘Omkara’ and many more.
She’s known to break stereotypes and when it comes to breaking stereotypes, she’s broken another stereotype recently – the one where they say that ‘Established actresses don’t audition again in Bollywood’.
But Kareena, who’s always been a front-runner of things, has broken that stereotype again as she opened up about auditioning for the first time in her life for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. Talking about the same, she said to IWMBuzz, and we quote –
‘I auditioned for this only because it’s Aamir Khan. The man is simply magnificent and his cinematic knowledge is simply unbelievable. The passion with which he does everything is so much to learn from. It’s an honour working with him. As far as the audition is concerned, yes I did it for the first time, only because its Aamir Khan. Saif also backed me a lot to audition for this by explaining that actresses like me should do it even more, so that new standards are set in Bollywood. If you see in Hollywood, you don’t get a single part till you audition. So I am happy doing it and will do it going forward as well, whenever needed’.
