During his promotions, the actor was asked whether he is planning to star opposite Dil Chahta hai actor Aamir Khan in a Tamil remake. To the question, Saif replied that he would love to work with Aamir, but right now, there is no confirmation about the same.

Aamir Khan praises Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Laal Kaptaan’ trailer, calls it ‘Awesome’

We rarely notice praises coming from Mr. Perfectionist for any Bollywood films. The last film trailer he praised was Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra starrer, ‘The Sky Is Pink’ and before which he was in all praise for Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Chhichhore’. As Aamir is known for his fine work, praise coming from him is a noteworthy thing for other celebs.
Now, Aamir Khan has took to her social media handles to praise yet another forthcoming Bollywood film and its none other than his ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ co-star Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Laal Kaptaan’, where the actor plays a fierce Naga Sadhu. Aamir lauded the trailer and called it as awesome. He wrote, “Hey guys,What an awesome trailer.

Aamir and Saif had done couple of Bollywood films together in Bollywood. However, their film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ holds a special place in the audience’s heart even today.

Coming back to ‘Laal Kaptaan’, The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sonakshi Sinha, Zoya Hussain, and Manav Vij in prominent roles. The film is set in the 18th century and features Saif as a Naga Sadhu with revenge on his mind. Moreover, ‘Laal Kaptaan’ is scheduled to release on October 18.

Akshaye Khanna feels ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ sequel will be fun when Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan and he will be 50 plus

Akshaye Khanna was speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming release Section 375 and was asked about the sequel to Farhan Akhtar directorial Dil Chahta Hai…

Akshaye Khanna recently interacted with the media-persons at the trailer launch event of his upcoming release Section 375. The actor was quizzed about a sequel to Farhan Akhtar directorial Dil Chahta Hai in which he stars along with Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan. Akshaye shared that the film’s sequel will be a good idea when all the three lead actors will be over 50 years in age. 

Interestingly, Dil Chahta Hai recently clocked 18 years of its release as well. During his interaction with the media, Akshaye Khanna was asked what would the characters of the film be doing as of today, in his opinion. Akshaye told the mediapersons, “I always told Farhan that wait till all of us are fifty plus and then make Dil Chahta Hai 2.”

He added saying, “Then it will be fun, it is no fun if you make it after 10-15 years. So now Aamir is 50 plus, Saif will be there soon and I’ll take a little more time and then we’ll see!”
Starring Aamir Khan, Akshaye Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the leads, Dil Chahta Hai explored the different dynamics that the three friends share, how they grow apart post college owing to their different approaches towards their relationships and how they final fall back together again. The film marked the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtat and remains one of the best movies exporing the bond of friendship and love in Bollywood.

Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan to step into shoes of R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in Hindi remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’?

As per the latest reports, Neeraj Pandey is planning to rope in Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan for his upcoming production which is going to be the Hindi remake of Tamil hit film, ‘Vikram Vedha’.

It’s been 18 years since Dil Chahta Hai came out. The film had a terrific star cast which included Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity G Zinta among others. The film also marked the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtar and it is considered a cult classic till now. After that film, Aamir did not share screen space with any of these actors although Saif and Akshaye worked together in Race.

Now as per reports in Pinkvilla, Aamir and Saif are all set to reunite after many years in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming production. Now, a Filmfare reported suggested that the film is set to be the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster film Vikram Vedha which starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the leading roles. The magazine report stated Saif will step into the shoes of Madhavan, while Aamir will be seen as the main antagonist. The film is likely to be directed by Gayatri Pushkar, who also helmed the original Tamil version.

Meanwhile, Aamir will soon start shooting for his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump. The film will be directed by Advait Chandan and is going on floors in the month of October this year. It is releasing on Christmas 2020. 

On the other hand, Saif is currently in London where he is shooting for Jawaani Jaaneman. He is also gearing up for the release of his web show Sacred Games season 2 which will be streamed on August 15, 2019.

Aamir Khan Had Sacred Games Questions So He Texted Saif Ali Khan (But Got No Answers)

You’re not the only one obsessing over Netflix’s popular show Sacred Games, the second season of which premieres on August 15. Saif Ali Khan, who plays one of the two leads on the show, recently told The Quint that after the first season was over, he got a call from Aamir Khan, digging details about the show. Speaking during the promotions of Sacred Games 2, Saif Ali Khan told The Quint, “You know Aamir Khan sent me a text and he is someone whose opinion I respect and whose mind I admire when it comes to movies and he said I want to talk to you so you know I called him back and he said, ‘Listen who’s this Trivedi guy… is he dead… what happened.’ And he had all these questions which I couldn’t answer.”

Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan co-starred in Farhan Akhtar’s 2001 film Dil Chahta Hai.

Apart from Aamir, Saif said he received calls from many of his colleagues, including Varun Dhawan who praised the first season of the show, which was co-directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane. “I remember Varun Dhawan was all praises for the show and rang up. A lot of people rang up, so that was nice,” said Saif Ali Khan.

In the second season, Neeraj Ghaywan (Masaan) replaces Vikramaditya Motwane as the director of Sartaj Singh’s (played by Saif) arc of the story. Anurag Kashyap directs Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays Ganesh Gaitonde.

We have already seen these two actors showing their interests upon working with each other and it might finally happen.

Hasn’t been too long since we saw Sameer and Akash Malhotra on screen together in Dil Chahta Hai? Well, going by the reports we might get to see this dynamic duo back again on the silver screen. Yes, you heard it right Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan is coming back together for Neeraj Pandey’s next. Neeraj has directed quite a few famous movies with Akshay Kumar like Special 26, Baby and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

A report by Pinkvilla suggests that Neeraj is in talks with both the actors and we will see them together after 18 years after Dil Chahta Hai. There is no official confirmation yet by the actors as they are already busy with their ongoing projects. Saif is busy promoting Sacred Games Season 2 and shooting for Jawaani Jaaneman and Aamir on the other hand, has already started preparing for Laal Singh Chaddha which is a remake of the famous Hollywood movie, Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.

Kareena is finalised to play the lead in Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie is supposed to go on floors by October this year.

Preity Zinta thanks Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and others as Dil Chahta Hai turns 18

Dil Chahta Hai starring Saif Ali Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles turned 18 today. On this special occasion, Preity Zinta took to Twitter to share a heartfelt note and thank her team.

One of the popular youth-driven films Dil Chahta Hai has completed almost two decades as the film has turned 18 today. Starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia in the lead roles, the cult classic released in the year 2001. On the happy occasion, Preity took her social media account to share the good news and to thank her team for making it her favourite film.

Preity who was seen opposite Aamir in the film tweeted, “Jaane kyun ye film meri favourite filmon ki list mein hai. (I don’t know why this film is on the list of my favourite movies). Thank you @FarOutAkhtar @aamir_khan @TheFarahKhan, Saif, Akshaye and the entire cast and crew for making this film such a fun & memorable experience! Loved every bit of it.”

The film was based on the bond of friendship between three boys played by Aamir, Saif and Akshaye. It showed their journey as carefree kids in college to mature and responsible adults.
